The parish council is hosting an event to mark the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings in northern France which marked the start of campaign to liberate Europe during World War II. The event will be held in the grounds of Kingston Bagpuize House on the evening of Thursday, culminating in the lighting of a beacon at 9.15pm as part of a countrywide commemoration. During the event there will be musical entertainment and food and a bar. Anyone wishing to
