Path resurfacing across recreation ground and to Fir Tree Close

The council resolved at its March meeting that the path across the rec (which is currently just a worn track) needed a proper surface and that the section to Fir Tree Close needs replacing to make it more wheelchair and buggy (and doggy) friendly and agreed on a contractor.  This week TW Hardscaping is laying a self-binding gravel path that will be much smoother to walk or roll over, starting with the main section across the rec.  On Monday and Tuesday the section from the western end of the rec to Fir Tree Close will be closed to allow them to continue along this narrow way.

The costs of the work will be met using Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) monies which are a form of tax levied on developers and a portion of which comes to the parish council for use on community facilities.  For more information on please visit the Vale of White Horse website.
