The role of the parish council is an important one, not only in providing certain local services but as the link between local residents and higher tiers of local government. In the interests of democracy it is preferable that there are more candidates for councillor than there are positions, as this gives residents say over who represents them. If you would like to put yourself forward as parish councillor in the forthcoming local elections in May 2023 then please refer to the documents links or downloads below for information about KBS Parish Council, criteria for qualification as a councillor and the nomination process. If you have any further questions please contact the parish clerk. Nomination papers must be delivered to the council offices at Abbey House, Abbey Close, Abingdon, OX14 3JE be 4pm on Tuesday 4 April 2023.
